Black Belt Workout Group

Do you want regular training with some of the best black belt fighters in the country?

Look no further than the Northern Virginia Black Belt Workout Group.

Okay, now don't get me wrong... not just anybody can stroll on in every Sunday and just jump in the ring with us.  We are a very picky group.  But realize when I say that, I am only talking about having a good attitude and giving a reasonable amount of respect to your new workout buddies.  As for skill, we accept folks of all skill levels - whether you are just getting back into sparring from an extended break or you are a tournament junkie training all the time. Attitude is key. We welcome newcomers with open arms and we believe in the motto "the more the merrier."

Becoming Regular Member

All you have to do is contact Mallory Woods at mwoods. I could just give you the weblink to the group, but you see, we like to have our own private discussions about fighting and only people who are "worthy" are permitted to get insights into our devious minds.

Membership is reserved for those who live in the Virginia, Maryland, and DC areas.  Also, you gotta be a blackbelt (unless you get super special permission).

Just Stopping By

Let's say you are in the DC Metro area for the weekend and you want to enjoy the fun.  Just contact Mallory Woods at mwoods like two days beforehand.  Since we are all suckers for "fresh meat," Mallory will send out notification to the group that we have an out-of-town guest, which will likely increase the number of members showing up and make your experience more enjoyable.

Times vary on Sunday and are sometimes cancelled.  Be sure to call ahead if you are coming.  You'll also be asked to sign a liability waiver (or parent/legal guardian must sign for a minor) - we get nervous because the DC area has an overpopulation of lawyers.
